Production Management
The Production Management department focuses on the logistical and operational aspects of producing film and TV. In our course, you will be introduced to scripted and unscripted content, learning key ‘production’ and ‘editorial’ skills. This includes researching, pitching, budgeting, scheduling, casting, sustainable & ethical production and location / on-set management.
The Production Management team is at the core of any film or TV show! It involves coordinating all aspects of a production, and collaborating with every department from pre-production through to post-production and delivery. If you excel at organising, enjoy tackling creative challenges and ensuring projects are completed to schedule, this is the pathway for you!
Year One
In your first year, you will learn all about location management and the production processes involved in documentary making. Each week, you will complete six hours of Production Management. In addition you will have four hours of Development, two hours of Storytelling, two hours of Camera & Editing and one hour of Industry Progression.

Year Two
In your second year, you build on your knowledge, skill and professional behaviours required for employment or higher education. You will learn how to produce a TV (studio) show and manage a short film production. You will study Production Management for 10 hours a week, continuing with four hours of Development and one hour of Industry Progression.
